Indian Lake borough consists of more than 2000 developed acres of recreational land. It’s a great place for year round living or your mountain vacation hideaway. The Lake is a 5-mile long horseshoe, 500 acres in area with 20+ miles of shoreline. There are two golf courses, a Resort Lodge, and a Marina within the borough. Indian Lake is a great lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and water skiing during the spring and summer, and a scenic wonderland in the fall and winter.
Indian Lake, near Shanksville, is just off Route 30 approximately 20 minutes northeast of Somerset, PA ; exit 110 on PA turnpike, and less than 30 minutes west of Bedford; exit 146 on the Turnpike. Driving time is approximately 90 minutes from Pittsburgh; 30 minutes from Ligonier; 45 minutes from Breezewood; 2 hours from Harrisburg; and 3 hours from the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas.
