Indian Tribal Rank - What does Newbie [Gatherer] mean?

While there was no 'standard' as each tribe had their own custom, there were several common notions:

Gatherer - Young or new/unskilled tribesman not capable or willing to take other roles, yet...

Hunter - Young men and occasionally women skilled at capturing or killing animals, including fishing...

Warrior - The fiercest or most courageous selected for defending, or if needed acquiring, resources and territories...

Chief - Older, knowledgeable and experienced tribesman who often trained others or formed leadership councils...

Tribal Elder or Legend - Wise, older sages respected for their past contributions and passing on their Wisdom for future generations...
